Last week the European Commission has launched a public consultation which would enable it to determine what kind of EU-level actions to undertake in relation to industrial innovation policy. This concerns consumers directly, since the more attention and support is given to the industrial innovation, the more likely it is that the products that consume less energy and/or are friendlier to the environment will become more available and affordable for consumers. (Boosting the demand for innovative European products and services) The public consultation is supposed to create a platform for bringing up ideas that would facilitate uptake of innovations on EU markets.
